Pizza summit to focus on collaborative sessions
Richard Slawsky Editor

27 May 2009

Time is running short to request an invitation to the first Pizza Executive Summit, slated to be held June 8-9 at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

The theme of the summit is "Evolution of the Modern Pizza Business." The invitation-only event is free to qualified attendees.

Keynote speakers for the event include Janelle Barlow, an author and expert in the area of getting and keeping customers through branded service, and Jamie Strobino, vice president of new concepts with Uno Chicago Grill.

"We started the Pizza Executive Summit to achieve one simple goal: Allow the pizza industry's best and brightest minds to collaborate and create an event for them and no one else," said Paul Barron, executive vice president of NetWorld Alliance, the organizer of the Pizza Executive Summit. "Small groups of passionate people can change the world."

NetWorld Alliance is the publisher of PizzaMarketplace.com.

"The current recession presents an opportunity to serve an all-new consumer where the rules have changed," Barron said. "Understanding that restaurant executives can change the way they do business is the first step toward creating the future of the industry."

Collaborative sessions feature small group discussions

The Pizza Executive Summit will be structured around a series of four collaborative sessions. Each session will last 90 minutes and consist of a specific topic followed by a small group discussion.

Space at the Summit is limited. With this setting, each of the participants will have the opportunity to talk one-one-one with industry executives.

Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of the upcoming Pizza Marketplace Industry Study valued at $595. The study includes information about the top pizzeria chains around the country, an overview about trends in commodities prices, commentaries from industry experts and the results of an in-depth operator survey.

Sponsorships for the Pizza Executive Summit are still available.
