The Daily Times (Delaware): New Castle County, Del., Police Chief Rick Gregory has been providing safety education to pizza delivery drivers in the wake of a string of sometimes violent robberies.
 
Safety tips include being alert to surroundings and scanning the area for signs of groups loitering near where deliveries are to be made, especially if those in the group are wearing hooded sweat shirts pulled up tight around their heads.
 
New Castle County police also suggest that drivers tell others about the route they plan to take and to plan a safe route in and out of that community.
