NORWALK, Conn. -- With three weeks to go before the opening of the 2008 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo, more than 300 multiunit operators have already registered to attend the show.
Restaurant and foodservice establishments that will be seen walking the aisles include 21 Choices Frozen Yogurt, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, Coffee Nutz, Cohn Restaurant Group, Del Taco, Good Stuff Restaurants, Hilton San Diego, Masala Bowl, Naples Rib Company, Yoshinoya America Inc. and many more. The Expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Aug. 23—25, 2008.
Attendees will find a variety of educational opportunities at the event as part of the Ferdinand Metz Foodservice Forum. A special keynote address for multiunit operators will feature Mark Sanborn, best-selling author of The Fred Factor. In this presentation, Sanborn will relate the four principles of injecting passion into work and life through the story of Fred, his Denver postman, and others like him.
Other noted events include The BarFly Group sessions, which will be complimentary this year. Chris Weinberg, CEO of The BarFly Group, a national restaurant-consulting and operations-management company, will present P & L Management Made Easy and Staying Alive in Today's Economy: 5 Sure Fire Steps to Control Costs.
Nolan Bushnell, founder and former CEO of Atari Corp. and Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre, and CEO of uWink, and Ted Balestreri, owner of The Sardine Factory, also will be featured speakers.
