DALLAS -- Pizza Hut is rolling out The Natural, a new pizza which features toppings free from artificial flavors, colors or preservatives served on a multi-grain crust. Topping choices include pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapples, green peppers, red onions and diced tomatoes.
The company also is offering a Natural Rustica version of the pizza, which features sliced Italian sausage, marinated Roma tomatoes and fire-roasted red peppers.
The Natural's multi-grain crust delivers eight grams of whole grains per slice. The crust is topped with sauce made from organic, vine-ripened tomatoes and natural mozzarella cheese.
A medium one-topping pizza is $9.99. The Natural Rustica pizza is $11.99.
The pizza's natural theme extends to the pizza box as well. The Natural pizza will be served in pizza boxes made from up to 75 percent recycled material.
Pizza Hut is introducing The Natural in Dallas before rolling it out to a national audience.
