DALLAS — People Report has announced that 19 leading restaurant chains and five independent operators have joined the People Report member-company consortium to best analyze and benchmark their human capital practices. These restaurants join more than 120 existing companies already a part of People Report's database on human capital.
During the last quarter of 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, the following companies have joined the People Report consortium:
- Quick Service: Burger King, Checker's Drive in, Papa Murphy's Pizza, Sonic Drive in, Taco John's, Villa Enterprises
- Fast Casual & Family Dining: ACG Texas (IHOP Franchisee), Au Bon Pain, Bread & Company, Flying Star Café, Furr's, Pei Wei, Z Tejas
"People Report continues to find that businesses that consistently measure human capital have better results in terms of turnover and comp sales," said People Report president Teresa Siriani. "The majority of People Report member companies have 5 percent less management turnover and up to 20 percent less hourly turnover than the industry average. At a cost of nearly $20,000 per manager lost and $2,400 per hourly, these savings alone contribute significantly to increased margins."
