FORT MEYERS, Fla. — The fast-casual pizza and pasta restaurant company Vapiano has signed a lease to open its first Florida location. The restaurant, in the Gulf Coast Town center in Fort Meyers, Fla., will be operated by franchisee Konrad Woest and his family.

The Fort Meyers location is expected to open in June of 2008 and Woest plans to open additional locations throughout southwest Florida, including Tampa, Naples and Sarasota.

Vapiano operates 30 locations, primarily in Europe. They have three locations in Washington, D.C., and franchised units in development in cities such as Dallas and Boston.
