CARMEL, Ind. — United States military veteran Robert Flores has opened a Little Caesars restaurant in Carmel, Ind., the second store to open under the Little Caesars Veterans Program.
Flores spent 20 years as a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force before getting into the restaurant business. He plans to open five stores by 2011.
Little Caesars launched its Veterans Program in 2006. The program offers honorably discharged, service-disabled veterans who qualify as Little Caesars franchisees benefits up to $68,000.
The first Little Caesars store under the program opened July 31, 2007, in Ft. Meyers, Fla.
More than 1,350 inquires have been made about the program and 20 veterans have been approved to become Little Caesars franchisees, according to a news release. Several more U.S. military veterans are expected to open stores under the program in the coming months.
