NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — zpizza announced it signed three separate multiunit franchising deals to expand its brand throughout Atlanta.
According to a news release, the trio of deals will yield 19 new restaurants in metro Atlanta, where it expects to open three units in 2007.
Franchisees Paul and Brian Shaw are slated to develop five units, and franchisee Danny Kim, another five. Vistacor Partners, a veteran zpizza franchisee with a 12-unit territory in Virginia, will develop the other nine.
"zpizza corners a new niche in the pizza segment," said Chris Bright, zpizza president. "Customers love our food because we offer fresh, health-conscious ingredients — ingredients that make them feel good about eating pizza again. We're excited about our expansion, and we look forward to making zpizza a household name throughout Atlanta in the near future."
zpizza has 60 locations open nationwide and another 200 in ongoing development in 15 states. The company expects to have more than 100 open units by mid 2008.
