Associated Press: A Thursday report showing moderating consumer prices, coupled with falling gas bills, could put more money in consumers' pockets, leading to higher spending in restaurants. The restaurant sector, and especially casual dining chains over fast-food operators, was hurt in 2006 by higher interest rates and higher gas prices.
