LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Hoping to reduce customer holiday stress, Papa John's is selling gift cards.
According to a news release, the cards are sold in $5 increments, from $10 to $100, and can be purchased at all Papa John's restaurants or at the company's Web site. (Unlike most gift certificates, the balance on a Papa Card is redeemable online.) The cards also are available at more than 18,000 retailers nationwide, including Wal-Mart, CVS/Pharmacy, Kroger and Office Depot among others.
"As gift card awareness increases, Papa John's has seen our Papa Card sales increase by more than 100 percent over the past year," said Sean Muldoon, Papa John's vice president.
