CHICAGO — For the first time in 20 years, the National Restaurant Association's Hotel Motel Show has sold out of exhibiting space. The show, held May 20-23 at McCormick Place in Chicago, is expected to attract more than 73,000 restaurant-and-hospitality industry professionals from more than 100 countries to see the most innovative food, beverage, technology and equipment products and services on the market.
"This is an outstanding opportunity for operators to improve their businesses by exploring the latest and best the hospitality world has to offer," said Steven C. Anderson, president and chief executive officer of the National Restaurant Association.
With a slew of interesting seminars, exhibitors and presenters, it's no wonder the NRA believes it will break attendance records this year.
Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A, will deliver the keynote address at this year's National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) SPIRIT Awards.
"We are honored to have Truett Cathy speak at the 2006 SPIRIT Awards and FMP Recognition Breakfast," said Mary M. Adolf, president and chief operating officer of the NRAEF. "Mr. Cathy's 60-year dedication to making Chick-fil-A the world-class organization it is today is a tremendous example of the message that the SPIRIT Awards embodies, and we are excited to have an opportunity to learn from him."

Ask the Design Experts, located in booth #1083, South Hall, Level 3, will allow show attendees the opportunity to receive free, expert advice on a range of design issues, from enhancing the atmosphere and ambiance of their establishment for guest satisfaction, to maximizing operational efficiency and kitchen flow. Consultations will be available for 30-minute one-on-one sessions by appointment or walk-in Saturday through Monday and by appointment only on Tuesday.
