VANCOUVER, Wash. — Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza has opened its 900th store inside a Wal-Mart in Aurora, Colo.

According to a news release, the milestone store brings the total number of Papa Murphy's locations in Colorado to 47. The chain also said it is on track to reach the 1,000-store mark by early 2006.

"Papa Murphy's is truly on the threshold of moving from a great regional chain to a national stage," said Jeff Hill, chief strategic officer.

Franchisees Larry and Kathy Hodge co-own the 900th store with Aurora residents Larry and Angela Lutrell, who will operate the unit. The Hodges now share ownership in 55 stores across various markets and the Lutrells have ownership in 10 stores units.
