Victoria News: Record high gas prices in Canada — about U.S. $3.70 per gallon — are leading some pizza operators to charge for delivery.

After offering free delivery for almost 20 years in Victoria, British Columbia, Ali Baba Pizza began charging customers CAN $1 (U.S. 85 cents) per delivery to compensate drivers for the extra money they're spending on fuel.

"Up until now it's always been free delivery for us, but now I have to pay my drivers considerably more to keep them around and keep them happy," said Mark Murr, manager of Ali Baba Pizza.
