Business Direct Weekly: LANSING, Mich. — Competition for a slice of the region's pizza market is heating up, as three franchise chains are moving into Greater Lansing.

Cottage Inn Inc., Eatza Pizza Inc. and Marco's Pizza Inc. each have opened or are planning to open new franchise stores in the region this year.

They'll join a college-town market swimming with other local and national competitors, including Domino's Pizza Inc., Little Caesars Pizza, Papa John's and Pizza Hut.

Local franchisees of the new pizza shops say their products and services will help them carve out a niche in the area's sea of pizza makers.
