• Pizza delivery driver robbed at vacant apartment

KANNAPOLIS, N.C.—A pizza delivery driver was lured to a vacant apartment, attacked and robbed on the night of May 17.

According to Salisbury Post, the 18-year-old driver was not seriously injured in the attack, police said.

In a police report, the Papa John's driver said when he arrived at the apartment to make the delivery, no one answered the door. He asked a neighbor about the order, but the neighbor said no one lived at the apartment.

As the driver turned to walk away, he was struck several times from behind by what he believes were multiple persons. The group took the driver's pizzas, the hot bag and his wallet.
