Americans rely heavily on pizzerias, restaurants for Super Bowl grub, NRA says

WASHINGTON, D.C.—According to a survey by the National Restaurant Association, 52 percent of Americans ages 18-24 who watch the Super Bowl order takeout or delivery from a restaurant that Sunday.

Overall, 28 percent of all who watch the game order takeout or delivery for a Super Bowl gathering at their house or someone else's.

The survey also showed that those living in larger households (three or more members) were more likely than others to order takeout or delivery during the Super Bowl (32 percent), as were those living in a metropolitan area (30 percent), or those from the Northeast (37 percent).

Of those who ordered takeout or delivery, 64 percent ordered pizza, 45 percent ordered chicken wings and 20 percent ordered subs or sandwiches.
