LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Papa John's International, Inc. reported its domestic systemwide comparable-store sales for the four weeks ended November 23 increased 0.9 percent (composed of a 3.5 percent increase at company-owned restaurants and a 0.1 percent increase at franchise restaurants) over the comparable period last year.
According to a news release, the period included various promotions that ran without national TV support. The prior-year period included the systemwide Ice Age promotion—a large one-topping pizza, an order of Papa's Chicken Strips and a two-liter of Coke for $13.99, including a coupon for a $3 discount on the purchase of the Ice Age DVD—which got national TV support.
Total systemwide international sales for November increased 2.8 percent, on a constant U.S. dollar basis, over the comparable period last year.
