According to a release, the Oven-Baked Crust Pizza is made with a new dough mixture tossed lightly in flour to get a thin, light and airy crust that's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The launch of the new pizza inaugurates priszm's plan to reinvent Canada's largest pizza chain with a new advertising campaign, new menu items, a new spokesperson and a new in-store look.
"We are confident our new Pizza Hut strategy will be a big hit, offering our customers high-quality service and great new products," says John Bitove, executive chairman of priszm brandz.
Pizza Hut also will begin an extensive advertising campaign featuring a new spokesperson "Jeff," (see photo at left) and tagline "If pizza's your passion." A likeable yet irreverent personality, Jeff will act in multiple roles such as an expert product developer, store manager and delivery guy.
