CALGARY, Alberta -- Comac Food Group Inc., the master franchisee in Canada for Domino's Pizza, announced it will pay CAN $1.1 million (U.S. $812,227) for eight Domino's stores in Edmonton.
According to a news release, the deal with franchisee company Hammer Pizza Ltd. includes vendor financing of CAN $700,000 (U.S. $516,872) over two years. The purchase includes a call center for order processing and an employee-training site.
"This acquisition moves us closer to our goal and requirement of 20 corporate-owned stores by February 2004," Comac Chairman Brad Holt said in the release. "It also provides a pool of talented Domino's team members we can access as our store growth continues to gather momentum. We now own 10 stores in the Edmonton area, with a plan for additional stores in the future."
