DALLAS -- Pizza Hut is debuting a holiday gift card for this year's shopping season.
According to a news release, the chain's 5,200 U.S. locations will sell the cards, which can be activated in $5 increments up to $100.
"The Pizza Hut Card ... makes ordering simple ... ," said Tom James, Pizza Hut chief marketing officer. "It's a convenient way to give a delicious Pizza Hut pizza as a gift, and it can be used at any time."
According to FirstMerit Corp, more than 45 percent of U.S. consumers have used pre-loaded cards as gifts. Pre-loaded cards now account for approximately $30 billion of annual gift spending. A National Retail Federation survey ranks chargeable cards among the top-10, most-wanted gifts.
