MADISON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Hungry Howie's Pizza has announced the nationwide rollout of a new chicken tenders side item.
According to a news release, the company test marketed the item for six months in its Florida locations.

Jeff Rinke, Hungry Howie's vice president of product development, said the company thought the chicken tenders test would cannibalize its own chicken wing sales. Wing sales remained the same, however, while the tenders generated additional sales.
The 100-percent white meat offering comes in six- and nine-piece sizes, which sell for $5.49 and $6.99 respectively.
* In other Hungry Howie's news, the company announced the signing of a 20-year franchise agreement to begin opening stores in Texas.
The store, which will be located in Richardson, will be the company's first in the Lone Star State, and is projected to open in December.
Hungry Howie's Pizza has more than 400 delivery-carryout stores in 16 U.S. states and in Ontario, Canada.
