Pizza Hut introduces chicken-stuffed crust in India

CHENNAI, India -- Pizza Hut is taking its stuffed-crust pizza a step further by introducing a chicken-stuffed crust pizza in 50 restaurants in India.

News Today reported the new pizza has a ring of chicken baked into the crust and is targeted to non-vegetarian customers.

Vineet Sharma, a Pizza Hut general manager, said the pizzas would be part of the regular menu and would be available in large and family sizes.

The pizza is offered in addition to the cheese-stuffed crust pizza.

During a news conference to introduce the pizza, Y Prabakar, a Pizza Hut area manager, outlined growth plans for the chain.

He said outlets would increase to 100 units by 2004. There are currently about 46 stores in India.
