SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Jacent Technologies, Inc., has announced a strategic alliance with Arlington, Texas-based POS software manufacturer Breakaway International, Inc., to produce an integrated voice-ordering solution.
According to a release, Jacent recently launched its first product, OrderStream -- the first voice-ordering solution that allows restaurant customers to place takeout and delivery orders over the telephone, without a customer service representative. Orders then are automatically sent into Breakaway's Relief Manager Plus (RMP) POS system.
Jacent is currently selling the OrderStream solution, configured to work in select Domino's Pizza operations.
"The combined package of Breakaway's products with OrderStream represents the first fully integrated approach for streamlining restaurant ordering operations," said Trevor Stout, president and CEO of Jacent Technologies.
Gary Peek, president of Breakaway International, added, "Our customers benefit by extending the reach of our POS systems through the telephone."
