According to a release, Ecocom will offer sales, service and support for Breakaway's restaurant management systems sold in the UK and Ireland. Previously, Breakaway sold its systems directly to operators in both countries.
"With the addition of Ecocom to our reseller channel, we significantly improve our ability to respond to these growing and dynamic Irish and UK markets," said Rob Tayne, international sales manager for Breakaway.
According to the release, Ecocom's sales and service reputation and restaurant industry experience led Breakaway to partner with the firm.
"We are excited about our new partnership with Breakaway," said Brian O'Neill, managing director of Ecocom Limited. "It is a significant step forward in our strategy to supply comprehensive and integrated solutions to our customers in the hospitality sector."
Ecocom has signed several restaurant customers, including Caffe Hi, Luigi Malone's, Four Star Pizza and Joel's Restaurant, and plans to demonstrate Breakaway RSViP and Breakaway ProHost systems at Hostec-EurHotec 2003 in Birmingham, England, in late January.
