LONDON -- The Pizza and Pasta Association will kick off its annual National Pizza Week celebration, which runs from Nov. 11-17.
According to Pizza & Pasta magazine, the association's bimonthly publication, the promotion is themed "Every Day is Pizza Day," and is expected to attract national TV and print media coverage in the UK.
Subscribers to the magazine and association members will receive posters to promote the event in stores, and their customers can participate in contests to win free pizzas and a trip to Italy. Customer contest entry forms can be found on the association's Web site.
To promote the event, the association suggests pizza shops feature a new special each day during the week, such as Margherita on Sunday, Hawaiian on Monday, even a "Big Breakfast" pizza on Saturday.
