COLUMBUS, Ohio -- CiCi's Pizza expects to open a dozen franchise shops in Columbus; the first is scheduled to open Oct. 21.

According to the Business Journal of Columbus, the Coppell, Texas-based buffet pizza chain has about 400 shops in 18 states. CiCi's trademark is its $3.99 all-you-can-eat price.

Columbus native Craig Burt, president of Pizza Partners of Ohio, and his partner, Norm Winton, will franchise the shops.
