When completed, the system will connect all 175 of Afton's 241 Pizza stores.
According to a company release, Afton CEO Robert MacDonald said the company chose the call center option "to roll out our 241 Pizza brand across multiple provinces and time zones."
The company reported that initial results have impacted sales positively, and that overall operations have improved as well.
"There's so much less involved in opening new locations when they are connected to a well-equipped and trained staff," MacDonald said. "To our franchisees, it means reduced staffing needs at the stores, which helps improve customer service and speed of delivery."
oneSystem's U.S. clients include LaRosa's Pizzeria, Rusty's Pizza, Pizzaville, and Domino's and Pizza Hut. Its systems also are at work in Holland, at New York Pizza and Al Capone's Pizza, in Denmark and Iceland for Domino's, and in Brunei at a Pizza Hut franchisee.
Afton Food Group is a 500-outlet QSR franchisor of five brands, including 241 Pizza, Robin's Donuts, Mrs. Powell's Bakery Eatery, Donut Delite Cafe and Ruffage. The company is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (symbol AFF), and has annual sales of approximately $200 million (CAN).
