Breakaway will support the current customer base for ProHost and RSViP and will work with resellers and other POS vendors and hardware manufacturers as well.
Wayne Rock, an originator of the ProHost and RSViP software products, has joined Breakaway as business development manager. He will oversee transition of the products from OpenTable to Breakaway and concentrate on business development.
The ProHost seating management system utilizes an automated wait list, server/section assignment and table management capabilities to increase table turns.
OpenTable Inc. is based in San Francisco and provides Internet-enabled customer relationship management (CRM), marketing, yield-management and reservations solutions to the $500 billion global foodservice industry. The company introduced real-time online reservations to the restaurant industry in 1998.
