• Flat sales drain third-quarter net income and earnings at Pizza Inn

THE COLONY, Texas -- Pizza Inn, Inc. (Nasdaq: PZZI) today reported third quarter earnings for the period ended March 24, were 5 cents versus 6 cents for the same period last year. Net income was $478,000 versus $604,000, on revenues of $15.3 million versus $15.7 million in the previous year.

For the first three quarters of Pizza Inn's current fiscal year, EPS was 16 cents versus 17 cents last year. Net income was $1,635,000 compared to $1,779,000, on revenues of $48.6 million versus $48.7 million last year.

Comparable chainwide same-store sales for the year to date finished flat.
