SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Peter Piper Pizza Inc. is sending its senior executives on the road this spring to promote its "Pizza & Play Professionals" marketing program.
According to a report in the Business Journal of Phoenix, executives from the 141-store pizza and entertainment chain will visit all 46 company-owned restaurants during April and May. Those stores are in the metro areas of Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City and select smaller markets.
The effort recognizes the chain's employees, highlights Peter Piper's new marketing campaign and its integration into the company's orientation and training programs.
" 'Pizza & Play Professionals' is more than just an advertising slogan. It's a theme that extends into all facets of our daily working environment, from guest service to team member relations," said Frank Sbordone, Peter Piper Pizza president and CEO.
To become a Pizza & Play pro, employees are nominated by each restaurant's general manager to take a 60-question skills test. Top scorers will be honored in a prominent display at each restaurant and receive a specially designed "Pizza & Play Professional" uniform pin.
Peter Piper has stores in eight U.S. states and Mexico.
