DETROIT -- In the wake of store closures by Troy, Mich.-based retailer Kmart, 98 Little Caesars pizza stations will be shut down.
In February, Kmart announced it would shutter 284 of its approximately 1,700 stores as part of its ongoing bankruptcy proceedings.
Though the company has stated which stores will be closed, it has not specifically said when.
According to a March 18 report published in Crain's Detroit Business, Kmart will continue operating 665 Little Caesars in other stores within the chain.
Kmart media-relations specialist Julie Fracker told Crain's that each pizza station employs six to eight people, but she would not disclose sales averages for those sites.
Lisa Cosnowski, Little Caesars director of corporate communications, would not comment on how the closures will affect the world's fourth-largest pizza chain.
