Delivery driver robber sentenced to 9 years

A 17-year-old from the Chicago suburb of Round Lake was sentenced to nine years in prison on Jan. 24, for the robbery of a pizza delivery driver.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Jamal Parks pled guilty to felony armed robbery for his role in the Oct. 12 robbery.

When the driver arrived with the pizza, Parks hid in the bushes while two other youths approached the car as if to pay. Parks then jumped from the bushes, pointed a gun at the driver and demanded his money.

The driver complied, and Parks split the funds with Jeremy D. O'Neal, 18, and an unnamed 16-year-old boy.
