DALLAS -- Pizza Hut officially rolled out its P'ZONE, calzone-style pizza on Jan. 20. The $5.99 sandwich will be offered virtually nationwide through April at participating locations.
The sandwich -- pronounced "puh-zone", was test marketed from August to October of last year, and received a strong response. According to company releases, it set a company record for highest repeat sales of any other Pizza Hut product in a test market.
The market test was supported by local television and print advertising as well as in- store point of purchase materials. The P'ZONE's national introduction will get an extra boost from a pre-kickoff TV spot on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3.
