• January '02 sales flat at U.S. Pizza Huts

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Tricon Global Restaurants Inc. reported on Jan. 30 that its U.S. comparable store sales for the month sales rose 5 percent, based on blended numbers from Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and KFC.

Taco Bell and KFC outlets posted 8 percent gains each, while Pizza Hut sales remained flat compared to 2001.

International sales rose 6 percent after conversion to U.S. dollars.
