• Missouri church group granted trial against Pizza Hut

A church group that alleges having gotten sick at a Greenwood, Miss. Pizza Hut has been granted a trial in mid-August against the company that owns the pizzeria. According to the SunHerald.com,  the 19 plaintiffs that companied of vomiting and nausea after eating chicken at the restaurant are suing for $1.1 million.

The Greenwood Commonwealth reports U.S. Magistrate David Sanders set the trial for Aug. 2, 2010, in federal court in Greenville.
 
Kansas-based NPC International Inc. officials have said state and federal health inspectors found nothing wrong with the food.
 
The plaintiffs allege the restaurant failed to exercise reasonable care in preparing and storing food and did not properly train employees.
