Britain's Food Standards Agency's trial to print calorie counts next to items at quick-service restaurants has been a bit of a bust thus far.
According to The Independent, only one of 18 companies that tested the idea, Pret A Manger, continues to display the information next to its products.
KFC only uses the trial project at two of is 750 outlets, and Burger King has not extended the trials. Other companies, including Pizza Hut, have abandoned the trials all together, claiming that customers found them to be "confusing."
Subway quit displaying the information at ordering counters, but continues to offer the information on food preparation counters.
Most chains in Britain list nutritional information on their websites. The FSA's trial is currently only implemented in about 3 percent of the country's QSRs and sandwich shops.
