California Pizza Kitchen Inc. has opened its ninth restaurant in Mexico. The latest unit, in the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood of Mexico City, is owned by franchise partner Grupo Calpik, SAPI de CV.
The restaurant is 6,400 square feet and seats approximately 210 guests. It includes indoor and outdoor dining options, as well as a take-out component.
The menu features signature CPK dishes, from its original BBQ Chicken Pizza to the Kung Pao Spaghetti and Avocado Egg Rolls. The company's extensive beverage menu, including the CPK Ultimate Margarita, also is available.
Other CPK restaurants in the country are located in Guadalajara, Cancun and the following suburbs of Mexico City: Lomas Verdes, Bosques de Las Lomas, Polanco District, Santa Fe, Coyoacán and Satelite.
This news comes shortly after the announcement of the company's expansion in China.
"California Pizza Kitchen has been well received internationally," said Rick Rosenfield, co-founder and co-CEO of CPK.
