Romeo’s Pizza, headquartered in Medina, Ohio, has inked a deal allowing a franchisee to open 90 stores in the St. Louis area.

Franchisee Sean Brauser owns 31 Romeo’s in the Buckeye State, having opened his first unit in 2001.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, Brauser is confident about entering the competitive market in St. Louis.

Financial terms of the deal, which was made with NAWI Development Corp., were not disclosed. NAWI also has acquired options to open Romeo’s in 30 markets with other franchisees. All of the proposed units will exist west of the Mississippi River.

Romeo’s signatures include a Great Ranch 10-slice pizza, with bacon ranch sauce, and a Butcher Shop, featuring a variety of meats.

Brauser’s goals extend well beyond the St. Louis venture. He hopes to have 1,000 Romeo’s open within the next seven to 10 years.
