Chuck E. Cheese's was in the spotlight this week as Lifetime Television featured the chain on its show "The Balancing Act," interviewing Ryan Linders, director of marketing and sales.

The segment is available for viewing online and highlights Chuck E. Cheese's fundraising efforts that support education and charitable organizations.

Since 2004, the chain has donated more than $6 million to these causes.

"Chuck E. Cheese's was very excited for the opportunity to work with 'The Balancing Act,'" Linders said. "We look forward to expanding our involvement in our local communities and using quality programs, like 'The Balancing Act,' to provide a voice and expand our support for the community to raise more money toward funding education and children's charitable organizations."

Chuck E. Cheese's prides itself on the simplicity of its fundraising opportunities. Any person, group or organization visiting Chuck E. Cheese's on the night of their fundraising event earns 15 percent of all register sales generated during the event — including food, drinks, tokens and merchandise — for their cause. There is no cost involved and no requirement to work during the event.

Additionally, educators are offered a free meal, with valid ID. To help boost the event's potential, Chuck E. Cheese's provides a free packet of promotional materials that includes two full-color posters, letters to parents and teachers and stickers for each child that can be redeemed for 10 free tokens on the night of the occasion.

Schools can even have Chuck E. Cheese himself make a special appearance at their locations. Chuck E. Cheese's offers Evite-powered online invitations for anyone interested in throwing a fundraiser.

Linders also discussed Chuck E. Cheese's achievement programs on "The Balancing Act," including Tokens for Grades and Rewards Calendars.
