Restaurant.com, which connects eateries to diners nationwide, has added its 18,000th restaurant partner. In conjunction with the milestone, diners also have a record number of discounted gift certificates to choose from and can now access more than 45,000 daily gift certificate options through the site.

Founded in 1999, Restaurant.com has become the leading provider of discounted restaurant gift certificates and has grown its restaurant base consistently year over year.
Since February 2009, participating restaurants increased by nearly 80 percent and available gift certificate options have more than quadrupled. All Restaurant.com restaurant partners benefit from increased exposure and marketing, as well as value-added services such as diner survey results, online reservations, profit estimates, reports showing number of tables filled and custom marketing services.
For diners, Restaurant.com offers a search component and personalized descriptions of cuisine and menu items, as well as information about pricing, location, hours of operation and decor for each of its 18,000+ restaurant partners.
After searching for participating restaurants on the site, diners pick, purchase and print the selected gift certificate for immediate use. Diners present their Restaurant.com gift certificate upon arrival, which is then honored on-site.
