Eagle Boys Pizza, Australia’s second largest pizza maker, has introduced the Core Online Ordering system, along with its Windows Phone 7 pizza app, to bolster its ordering capabilities.
The company’s $3 million technology initiative is backed by a newly-constructed website that includes automated integrated point of sale (iPOS) capabilities, a new payment gateway and customer database potential.
Eagle Boys CEO Todd Clayton said the system was a result of extensive research into online customer usability.
“Given the high penetration of home Internet and the growing smartphone market, online ordering has hit new highs, forcing Eagle Boys to revamp its online ordering capabilities in-line with emergent technology,” Clayton said. “Eagle Boys Pizza customers are continually looking for easy to use, convenient ordering that suits their busy lifestyles. Overhauling our online technology capabilities has been a priority to satisfy customers’ growing appetite for convenience.”
The system’s supporting website was designed from scratch to include automated iPOS and online address verification, along with links to corporate news and events, store news and integrated calendars.
The Core Online Ordering system also will include a new payment gateway that currently accepts Amex and Diners Club cards, MasterCard and Visa. Additionally, a customer database offers customers the opportunity to register and subscribe for promotions and other electronic direct marketing campaigns.
Eagle Boys Pizza includes more than 335 franchised stores throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, the ACT and the Northern Territory.
