Pizza and delivery point-of-sale vendor SpeedLine Solutions Inc. has launched a new web ordering integration with Real Time Ordering and Pizza.com.
The RTO/SpeedLine integration includes automatic web menu updates, real time order quotes, and seamless coupon code functionality.
“While most online ordering companies try to squeeze your unique requirements into their system, Real Time Ordering adapts its system to match each restaurant’s business needs and unique flavor,” said RTO vice-president of operations Emad Farraj. “Whether it’s an iPhone application, a create-your-own pizza wizard, multiple delivery regions or a special coupon or topping strategy, RTO delivers a solution that gives restaurant companies exactly what their brands need.”
Among the first restaurant chains to take advantage of the new integration are Salem, Oregon-based Figaro’s Pizza and New Orleans-based Naked Pizza.
Holly Earle-Schultze, vice president of marketing at Figaro’s, said the integration and on-going data merging between the systems have worked very well, with few errors.
“Online coupons, automatic updates to menu item PLUs, and mobile capabilities are all items we’re excited to move forward with and are glad to be partners with SpeedLine, RTO, and Pizza.com,” she said.
Brock Fillinger, co-founder and director of operations for Naked Pizza, said his company chose to partner with SpeedLine and RTO because of the their desire to have in-store and online ordering systems that engage customers and build loyalty and brand advocacy.
“Naked Pizza envisioned an ordering system that would transcend the transaction and delight our customers in intelligent and sustainable ways,” he said. “Speedline and RTO have delivered, helping us address the myriad complexities of launching Naked Pizza globally in just over a year, and putting us on track to open more than 50 stores this year with more than 400 in the pipeline.”
Online ordering is quickly becoming a competitive requirement for delivery and carryout restaurants, said John de Wolde, president of SpeedLine.
"As the percentage of sales coming in through online and mobile channels increases, a seamless integration with the point-of-sale system at the restaurant is a critical factor in keeping speed of service up and labor costs down,” he said.
The RTO integration also provides mobile marketing services to drive more revenue from the restaurant user’s database of online customers, and connects SpeedLine users with Pizza.com, the most comprehensive directory of pizzerias on the Internet.
