I Love Pizza, a pizzeria and coffee-bar fusion concept serving authentic New York style pizza and Calima Coffee, Australia’s Colombian blend, has opened its doors in Miami Beach under the direction of executive chef Michael Gilligan.
In addition to its pizza and gourmet coffee offerings, I Love Pizza serves garden-fresh salads, an assortment of pastries and desserts, and a selection of domestic, imported, micro, craft and specialty beers and artisan wines.
An Old Chicago brick wall complements red-hued, Italian-glass mosaic columns that accentuate the khaki floors. The interior also features red Tolix chairs, custom-made maple countertops and avant-garde white-lacquer accents that match the retro-style appliances.
Native to Birmingham, England, Gilligan, who also oversees all culinary operations at the W South Beach hotel in Miami, began his career at several restaurants throughout England and France. His American resume began in New York City in 1993.
