SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza plans to open its fifth Kansas City area location in the Prairie Creek Shops in Lenexa, Kan.
The unit is currently in development and includes 3,500 square feet that will provide seating for 100 customers, as well as a bar and an outdoor patio that seats 48. It is expected to open in January 2012.
SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza co-owner Edwin Brownell said the location in the new mixed-use development, which will include retail and apartments, reflects the area's composition. The Lenexa site property is under development by Price Brothers Development Company.
"This is a growing commercial and residential area. Local businesses currently employ approximately 11,000 people and the new location is close to numerous neighborhoods," Brownell says. "It's a great match for SPIN! and we're pleased that we'll be so convenient for our many customers who have urged us to open in Lenexa."
Brownell owns the SPIN! concept along with Gail and Richard Lozoff.
SPIN!'s recipes are developed in collaboration with James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Smith.
