Domino's Pizza opened its 400th store in India this week, with CEO J. Patrick Doyle on hand to mark the milestone.
Domino's Pizza India has opened more than 100 stores in 15 months, with no plans of slowing down. According to Zeenews, the company expects to double its unit count to more than 800 in the country in the next five years.
Currently, India is the fifth largest market behind the U.S., United Kingdom, Mexico and Australia. Doyle predicts it will move up to No. 4 in the next year.
Domino's recent growth is in partnership with master franchisee Jubilant Foodworks Ltd., which also operates the Dunkin' Donuts brand in India.
Domino's India recently added the online ordering component to its business, and Jubilant expects the platform to help boost sales.
Domino's Pizza has more than 9,500 stores in the world, with more than 4,500 in the U.S.
According to Equity Bulls, the Noida, India store is one of Domino's busiest in the world.
