Eagle Boys Pizza, Australia's second largest pizza chain behind Domino's, will open six new stores in Sydney within the next three months.
There are currently 32 Eagle Boys locations in the Sydney market.
CEO Todd Clayton said the openings prove that Sydney is one of the company's key growth markets.
"The Christmas / New Year period is traditionally one of the busiest pizza selling seasons of the year and during the next three months we're going to open the equivalent of a new store in Sydney every fortnight," he said.
Eagle Boys Pizza made its Sydney debut in late 2008.
Clayton said growth in online ordering and delivery has helped to spur demand in the region.
"Convenience is a key reason why customers chose Eagle Boys and as lifestyles get busier, delivery continues to grow rapidly," he said. "Developments in online ordering and digital technology have also made it much easier for Eagle Boys customers to reach us."
Hoys partnership drives Express growth
As part of its plans to expand its Express store network, Eagle Boys Pizza has joined forces with Hoyts Cinemas to open Eagle Boys Express kiosks at its cinema in Penrith and Charlestown, Australia, with another to follow soon in Carousel.
Already located in airports, service stations, convenience stores and other high-traffic areas, the Express kiosks offer 7-inch pizzas and additional side options.
Clayton said the partnership is part of the company's strategy to grow customer demand and eventually become the largest pizza chain in Australia.
Eagle Boys began repositioning its Express brand last month in-line with demand for greater choice and convenience.
