Pizza restaurant point of sale software developer SpeedLine Solutions Inc., announced the PA-DSS validation of its latest release, SpeedLine 6.3, by the PCI Security Standards Council.
"One of our commitments to the restaurant companies that use our products is to submit new releases of our software to rigorous security audits and recertification," said SpeedLine vice-president of development Terry Haan.
Since 2008, PCI security auditing and validation have been standard practice at SpeedLine to keep up with new regulations and advancements in data security.
"Restaurant operators are required to safeguard the privacy of their customers' credit card data and personal information," Haan said. "We believe we have an obligation to our customers, as their technology partner, to ensure that our software meets the latest security standards to help them maintain compliance."
SpeedLine 6.3 successfully passed an audit by PCI auditor Coalfire Systems Inc., and was validated by the PCI Security Standards council earlier this month.
