A New York-style pizzeria has opened in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas that allows customers to bring their own beer and wine. Mimi's Pizzeria officially opened Jan. 2, and is owned by Mimi Ahmedi.
The restaurant, described as "casual and upscale," features pizza by the slice, appetizers, homemade pastas and calzones, hot and cold subs and salads with Mimi's house dressing.
"I've been in the pizza business my whole life and I've always felt like a New York-Style pizza restaurant was needed here in Preston Hollow," Ahmedi said. "Mimi's Pizzeria is something that I know this market will appreciate and will give the residents of Preston Hollow a new dining choice that currently has not existed in this area."
Mimi's Pizzeria includes several high-definition flat screen televisions, video games and an open layout, encouraging diners and bring-your-own-beer-and-wine drinkers to enjoy the venue for their favorite sporting events.
Mimi's Pizzeria's grand opening celebration party is Feb. 21 with half-priced pizzas. It is now open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
