Possible Worldwide, a WPP Digital company, announced today the unveiling of the "HSN Pizza Challenge" interactive Touchwall at the 2012 National Retailers Federation Conference in New York City, through Jan. 18.
Hosted by celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck, the state-of-the-art experience was created through a partnership between HSN and Possible Worldwide. Made up of 12 wide-screen monitors, the 13-foot-wide-by-8-foot-tall Touchwall operates as one gigantic touchscreen, comfortably serving four "guest chefs" simultaneously.
Through a 5-minute engagement, event attendees will be invited to approach an open section of the virtual kitchen counter and engage in an entertaining game-like experience to make their own Wolfgang Puck pizza with help from the celebrity chef himself.
Working alongside Chef Puck, users will learn about his recipes and products within the context of the HSN family of culinary resources. Additionally, users can flag products they see on the Touchwall to receive follow-up information via email.
"We recommended using Touchwall technology to bring an immersive digital experience to HSN by providing a deeper engagement for the end user while showcasing branded products," said Eric Mauriello, SVP of Touch at Possible Worldwide. "Touch technologies are something consumers increasingly expect from their digital interfaces and the 'Pizza Challenge' application takes this capability to a life-sized level, offering the kind of collective experience that can only exist on a large scale basis."
The "HSN Pizza Challenge" Touchwall serves as an edge-to-edge video environment educating guest chefs about new products and tools while providing HSN a forum to tell an effective story, explain value and showcase their culinary offering in a meaningful way, the company said.
