Domino's UK's 2011 pretax profits jumped nearly 15 percent, to 43.6 million pounds ($68.3 million), buoyed by a strong online and mobile ordering presence.
The company, which includes British and Irish franchises, experienced a 43 percent increase in online sales, according to Reuters.
Domino's UK's mobile phone applications, which launched during 2011, were a big factor in the online boost. Mobile and online now account for 44 percent of total orders, with some shops taking up to 75 percent of their orders online.
CEO Lance Batchelor said the rise of e-commerce has been "breathtaking."
Domino's opened 62 shops last year in the UK/Irish market, bringing the total to 726. The company plans to accelerate expansion this year, from its original target of 60 stores.
Domino's opened its first six stores in Germany last year and expects to add 12 this year.
Australian earnings also up
In the Australian market, Domino's Pizza Enterprises posted a post-tax profit of 23 percent from last year.
According to Proactive Investors, these results were driven by same-store sales growth of 8.4 percent.
Domino's Pizza Enterprises is Australia's only publicly listed pizza company and is the master franchisor for the brand in Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium and The Netherlands.
